East Gate Karate Academy located at Savannah Heights, Waigani held an open day on Saturday 11th – Sunday 12th 2025, celebrating the growth and achievements within Papua New Guinea’s martial arts community.
Instructors of martial arts present included Sensei Julius Piku, Sifu Andrew Molen and Senior Instructor Steven Tommy, a member of World Taekwondo Federation (WTF).
The event also featured the official launch of the WTF Papua New Guinea Branch and the Dragon Full contact Self-Defense Sport Federation.
Forms of various martial arts were demonstrated showcasing each practitioners’ talent and skill in their respective martial art.
