There have been many concerns raised that the COVID-19 Vaccine is not safe for pregnant women and may cause some complications to both mother and/or child.
Senior Consultant Obstetrician and Gynecologist in PNG, Dr Mathias Sapuri, of the Pacific International Hospital dispelled these during an interview with this newsroom this weekend.
Dr Sapuri further added that he has advised a number of pregnant women to take the vaccine to protect themselves and their unborn babies.
“The COVID-19 vaccine is indeed safe for pregnant women to take.”
“However, the choice is entirely up to them to whether they choose to get the vaccine or not.”
