CHIEF JUSTICE CONFIRMED THE DEATH OF THE LATE JUSTICE NICHOLAS KIRRIWOM

The Chief Justice yesterday confirmed the death of the late Justice Nicholas Kirriwom, CMG, who at the time of his passing was the Judge Administrator for the East and West Sepik Province and also Manus Province. He died in office whilst serving his third term as a Judge of the National Courts and Supreme Courts.

He passed away in the morning of Monday 12th April 2021, whilst receiving medical treatment at the Pacific International Hospital in Port Moresby. The Judiciary is deeply saddened by his untimely passing and offer our sincere condolences to his wife Rachael Kirriwom, his children and relatives and friends who are equally saddened and mourning his death. The Judiciary is in the process of organising a ceremonial sitting to farewell the Judge, funeral arrangements and repatriation to the final resting place.
