The Catholic Bishops Conference (CBC) thanked individuals, participants and organizers who were involved in making the 2024 Papal Visit a success.
Speaking at the conference, His Lordship Bishop Rozario Menezes, Chairman of the Papal Visit Committee, expressed his heartfelt gratitude on behalf of CBC.
“I would like to thank each and every one who worked hard to make this visit of the Holy Father memorable for both for the Holy Father and for each one of us.”
“To the PNG Government, I thank you, especially the department of Foreign Affairs under the leadership of Justin Tkatchenko and all the hardworking staff.”
“Our hearts are full of joy after having spent these three days with the Holy Father.”
Special thanks were given to the Apostolic Nunciature, the Papal Visit Committee for their efforts.
“To the Apostolic Nunciature, especially to Secretory Msgr. Federico Boni, for his untiring efforts in organizing this Apostolic Journey.”
“To the Papal Visit committees, especially logistic, liturgy, communication, and finance for your unwavering support, tireless efforts, which paved the way for a cherished experience of grace.”
“What more can we expect, after having experienced the joy of being with the Holy Father, praying, reflecting and sharing? The grace filled experiences lived with the Vicar of Christ is the result of the hard work of all those tirelessly worked to prepare for the Apostolic Visit of the Holy Father.”
“It was my privilege to lead the Papal Visit committee.”
