Funds for Independence Day Celebrations were transparently distributed across all the wards in the Nawaeb District in the Morobe District. Nawaeb MP Theo Pelgen provided that a total of K130 000 was distributed to the 47 Wards in the Wain/Erap, Nabak, Labuta and Ahi Urban. Early this year, little 3-year-old Tilesa Vagi was diagnosed with Leukaemia at the Port Moresby General Hospital (POMGEN). She is currently undergoing Chemotherapy at POMGEN. France is providing humanitarian aid to displace people on the island of Bougainville, following the eruption of Mount Bagana volcano and lasting consequences on the ground. This humanitarian assistance will be delivered to Bougainville with the support of a French Navy vessel, le Vendémiaire.
