The National Statistical Office today officially announced the Census 2021 Structural Listing Exercise that will be carried out throughout Papua New Guinea. The Structural Listing is a prerequisite preparatory undertaken to ensure smooth conduct of the 2021 National Census. Nine (9) teachers out of the twelve (12) who were investigated have been terminated by the Western Highlands Provincial Education Board for their involvement in helping students cheat in the 2019 National Examinations. Controller of the PNG COVID-19 National Pandemic Response David Manning has clarified that all incoming passengers will be required to do a 14-day quarantine regardless of the country from which they originally travelled from. This is for all passengers who were approved to enter PNG from the 15th of January onwards. Mr Manning made this clarification following misunderstandings which seem to have given rise to different requirements being sent out by airline operators.
