The logging sector has been one of the delinquent sectors insofar as tax compliant is concerned. Not only that, they have been one of the most refunded sectors when it comes to GST refunds. This was revealed by the Commissioner General of the Internal Revenue Commission, Mr Sam Koim, in a statement released on Monday. The SP PNG Hunters finished with nine men on the field in today’s 40-12 loss to Brisbane Tigers at Bycroft Oval in one of the Intrust Super Cup’s most eventful matches in years. A gang involved in robbing a shop at Gerehu Stage 3B was busted by members of Fox unit 202. Four suspects were taken into custody at around 2.45pm last week Friday 07TH of May 2021. Five men armed with guns and knives in a stolen Toyota Camry sedan stormed a Trade Store at Gerehu Stage 3B. Last week members of NCD Traffic Police impounded two buses and fined them K1000 each using Traffic Infringement Notices. The PMV operators were told to pay the fine at the Department of Finance and produce the official receipt before they could reclaim their buses. This police action was taken because the PMV buses were traveling along the Poreporena Freeway; which is an unauthorized route.
