The National Gaming Control Board, through its Give Back Program, has assisted over forty students attending various tertiary institutions in the country with their 2021 Tuition Fees. With economic hardship meaning some students are unable to continue their studies, the students applied through the NGCB’s Give Back Program seeking financial assistance in the hopes to continue their education. This assistance covers full fees and all costs associated with their boarding. The availability of healthcare services is critical to good health and in rural Papua New Guinea there are many barriers to accessing these services including a lack of basic medical supplies. Identifying these barriers, the Southern Highlands Provincial Health Authority (SH PHA) in partnership with Oil Search Foundation (OSF) embarked on an activity to revitalise the local health sector in the Kutubu area. NCD Governor Powes Parkop and NCDC convened a high-level collaboration on Tuesday with the city’s police command, ACP Anthony Wagambie Jr and Metropolitan Superintendent Gideon Ikumu to support their initiative to arrest the recent increase in petty crimes at Gordons and Erima.
