A delegation from the Tewai-Siassi District of Morobe Province visited the Kairuku and Hiri District headquarters in Central province this week to learn about the dual administrative systems of the electorate. The Papua New Guinea Defence Force has formally handed over facilities at the Vanimo Forward Operating Base (FOB) to the National Airports Corporation for refurbishment. This significant event took place on the 17th of July 2021 following a Memorandum of Agreement which was signed by the two entities two weeks ago in Port Moresby. The new cases and deaths were reported for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of last week bringing PNG’s total confirmed cases to 17,467 with 187 known deaths. An American father and son have been sentenced for their role in ex-Nissan chief Carlos Ghosn’s escape from Japan in 2019.
