Papua New Guinea has recorded 15 new COVID-19 cases on Monday 26 July, increasing the total number of cases to 17,670. The cases were reported in five provinces. Morobe reported eight, Madang four and the National Capital District, Western Highlands and Jiwaka all reported a single case each. Of the 15 cases, 10 were males whilst five were females. Their ages range between 52 and 59 years. Eight out of the 15 cases were experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 at the time of testing. The company in an effort to maintain its commitment to community driven cultural events, has announced the sponsorship in Goroka today. Police communications systems in Bougainville have been given a major boost with the handover of advanced radio equipment supported by Australia through the PNGAusPartnership. In a ceremony in Port Moresby, the Australian High Commission handed over K417,000 worth of critical radio equipment for use by police in Bougainville. The equipment included 17 high frequency radio units that will be installed in police stations across Bougainville, fitted into police vehicles and carried by officers in the field. Air Niugini is the only organization in the country offering Dangerous Goods (DG) training to external clients under the airline’s Part 141 training organization, through the Civil Aviation Safety Authority’s (CASA), Civil Aviation Rule (CAR) Part 92, Standard Aviation Training Certificate (SATC).
