The proposed eviction by National Airports Corporation on tenants living around the fringes of Jacksons International Airport area will be put on hold. The Controller of the National COVID-19 Pandemic Response, Police Commissioner David Manning, has advised that booster shots of the COVID-19 vaccine have now been approved for use in Papua New Guinea. A tsunami has hit Tonga, after a massive eruption from an underwater volcano near the Pacific Island nation on Saturday. Waves surged through coastal Tongan areas, crashing into people’s homes after Hunga-Tonga-Hunga-Ha’apai erupted around 5.30pm on Saturday, NZ time.
