Police in the largely archipelagic province of Milne Bay have beefed up manpower at the Gili-Gili Corrective Institution after receiving a tip off from informants of large scale criminal activity around the area. NCD police have initiated investigations into the damaging of equipment at the Port Moresby General Hospital after two isolated incidents were reported by the Hospital staff. Police in Western Highlands Province (WHP) have reported no major disruptions within the last two weeks of the festive operation period, something which the Provincial Police Commander (PPC), Superintendent John Sagom, said was attributed to the leadership portrayed by the community leaders.
