Six schools in the nation’s capital Port Moresby were privileged to have received computer laboratories built as part of the Digicel Foundations BeLit Program which aims to provide an avenue for computer literacy in schools. The official launch at the Jubilee Catholic Secondary School saw over a thousand students witness the unveiling of the computer lab constructed in 2022, at the cost of K400, 000. In what was quite a constructive and concise consultation of the draft National Media Policy, the Papua New Guinea Media Council have made their stance clear that members are not endorsing this draft policy in its current form, based on grounds of infringement of the expression of speech among others.
