Westpac NSW Blues star centre Latrell Mitchell has this morning been ruled out of the 2023 Ampol State of Origin series-opener in Adelaide on Wednesday with a calf injury. Mitchell sustained the injury at training and scans later revealed a strain which would prevent him playing. An attempted robbery of a vehicle along the highway from Bialla to Kimbe in the West New Britain (WNB) province has led to the untimely demise of a Grade 10 student.
