A two- week refresher training is currently on in Milne Bay Province to prepare police personnel for the festive operations. Milne Bay Provincial Police Commander (PPC), Superintendent Peter Barkie, said this training will prepare officers to better carry out the Christmas and New Year Operations. “This training is to refresh themselves on basic policing, like weapon handling, patrolling tactics and all other basic trainings to get the police ready for the operations,” said the PPC.
