The Climate Change and Development Authority (CCDA) has kick started its school climate change awareness at the beginning of this month as a lead up activity towards the Second National Climate Summit which will be in September. The program targets secondary schools in the National Capital District (NCD) and Central Province and is aimed at driving awareness of climate change in schools. STEAM education is a teaching approach which combines Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics, and is designed to encourage discussion and problem solving amongst students. About 28,000 people in Aroma Coast LLG in the Abau District in Central Province have been cut off by flood due to continues heavy down pours. Flood has damaged bridges and culverts, isolating villages between Paramana and Kelerakewa on the Aroma Coast.
