Delivering medical supplies across Papua New Guinea poses challenges due to the country’s rugged terrain and security issues, but despite these obstacles, the National Department of Health (NDoH) has completed the distribution of critical Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to 22 Provincial Health Authority (PHA) hospitals. In late 2024, PHA hospitals experienced urgent PPE shortages which led to supplies stored in Port Moresby warehouse distributed through a partnership between the NDoH and Post PNG Ltd with deliveries set for December.
