The National St John Ambulance (SJA) Service is now offering FREE community first aid training for taxis and bus drivers in Port Moresby city. 21-year-old May Torowi Hasola of the Autonomous Region of Bougainville was crowned the 2024 Miss Bird of Paradise last night at the APEC Haus in Port Moresby city. Education continues to be a key focus of the National Government captured in the K28 billion 2025 National Budget, with a huge allocation aimed at making improvements for the betterment of the future generations. The National Government today handed down a total K28 billion deficit budget for 2025 with a K10.3 billion Capital Investment Budget and a K1 billion cut in deficit. The 2025 National Budget is not a big increase from this year’s budget, just a K10 billion increase, 4.6%. The budget has been presented to parliament by the treasurer for debate.
