PNG Power Limited (PPL) has been able to restore power supply to most parts of Madang that were affected by the massive 6.7 magnitude earthquake that rocked the province and neighboring provinces over the weekend. According to the State-owned power company, the focus was to restored power to the main areas like the hospitals, schools, police stations, provincial administration facilities and the local businesses. Due to the damages caused to the airport runway at the Madang Airport from the 6.7 magnitude earthquake that rocked the province and its neighboring provinces over the weekend, airline services into Madang will be limited.
