Prime Minister Hon. James Marape, MP has outlined his Pangu Party’s policies for Moresby North-West for the next nine months, after its by-election.
He made these policies known during a joint rally by four (4) intending candidates running for the Moresby North-West seat, this by-election on Friday, May 28, 2021.
“Although I am here today to promote our Pangu Pati policies and support our candidate Lohia Boe Samuel, I am also here to urge you to follow your hearts and vote for whoever you feel is the right one to lead you for the next nine months before the 2022 National General Elections.
“Our Pangu Pati policies, for the next nine months, are simple and much needed and these include youth and women empowerment and inclusion, particularly in the SME Sector,” PM Marape said.
He said Moresby North-West is made up of types of communities including villages (Motu-Koitabu), suburbs (Hohola, Tokarara, Gerehu) and settlement (Morata).
“And, this Pangu-led Government looks forward to start urbanizing Morata Settlement into a suburb, as soon our candidate takes Office as the Member for Moresby North-West,” PM Marape said.
He said this in support of Lohia Boe Samuel’s speech announcing the Prime Minister’s assurance given to him as soon as he took Office.
PM Marape said for the first nine months our focus would be on the youth and ‘mama’ program rollouts.
“I encourage youths to get together and identify projects like fixing our roads and drainage systems, where we will take note and facilitate.
“Same goes to our mamas, we will empower and assist them to venture into other avenues of SMEs, to grow their businesses and earn more money,” PM Marape said.
He thanked the people of Morata for their massive turn-out and assured them of the government’s support in improving Morata, to a whole new level.
The four (4) candidates who spoke at the rally included Martin Piasen, Immanuel Isaac, Walter Yangomina and Lohia Boe Samuel.
