Nine (9) Administrative Assistants from the Public Services Commission (PSC) were awarded Certificates of Appreciation for their participation in the International Administrative Professional Summit hosted by the Papua New Guinea All Admin Professionals (PNGAAP).
The event took place on Thursday, 17th April, 2025, at the Dynasty Seafood Restaurant, Vision City, in Port Moresby.
Public Services Commission (PSC) stated that this summit brought together administrative professionals from across government departments, state agencies, and the private sector, fostering valuable networks and promoting collaboration within the profession.
The theme of the summit was ‘Gender Bender’, with key discussions revolved around:
- Embracing diversity, inclusion, and equality in professional spaces.
- Highlighting the character, contributions, and support roles of Admin professionals.
- Addressing challenges from traditional gender roles and expectations.
- Promoting continued professionalism and excellence in the field.
Acting Senior Administrative Assistant to the Office of the Secretary, Ms. Noho Daera, emphasized the importance of such platforms adding that networking among administrative professionals is crucial.
“It allows us to work together effectively and enhances our ability to serve the Commission with the new skills and insights we’ve gained. Going forward, our participation in future PNGAAP events is highly recommended”, said Ms. Daera.
“The PNGAAP, champions the growth and welfare of office administrative professionals across PNG, and is committed to advancing their careers and professional standards.
The Public Services Commission has ten (10) Administrative Assistants, and one (1) Receptionist registered as members of PNGAAP this year. The nine (9) officers expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the PSC for supporting their participation and encouraging their professional development,” PSC stated.
