S.S DOLPHINS TAKE 3RD PLACE IN KCK RIGO RICE CUP LEG-2

The S.S Dolphins secured a well-deserved victory in the KCK Rigo Rice Cup, defeating the Buria Reds 16-8 to claim third place in the tournament.

The thrilling contest showcased the Dolphins’ strength, strategy, and determination today 23rd February at the Bava Park, Port Moresby.

Right from the start, the Dolphins took control of the game with Ita Paisoi opened the sinking a penalty kick in the 8th minute, setting the pace for his team.

However, the Buria Reds were quick to respond, with Guba Vagi scoring a try with a failed conversion in the 32nd minute to keep his team in the game.

Despite the Reds’ efforts, the Dolphins continued to dominate possession and executed well-structured plays.

Just before halftime, Moses Aralu crossed the line in the 37th minute but failed the conversion, giving his team a solid lead 6-4, boosting their confidence going into the second half.

The Dolphins remain dominant showing no signs of slowing down with strong offensive plays paying when Jacob Sarea alongside Tipson Tulija, extending their lead with two with 30mins of the first, further strengthening their hold on the game.

Despite the Dolphin’s lead, the Reds maintained the stance with a desperate attempt to fill in the gap score with Guba Vagi scoring his second try in the 32nd minute.

However, the Dolphins’ defence remained resilient, denying their opponents any further scoring opportunities, seal their win in the final minutes to Full time.

The Dolphins dominated the Full 80minutes with a 16-8 margin victory.

The S.S Dolphins’ outstanding performance in this match reflects their dedication and hard work throughout the tournament.

Their ability to remain composed under pressure and execute tactical plays effectively was key to their success.
