With the goal of preventing violence and increasing awareness, South Pacific Brewery is pleased to announce its involvement in the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence (GBV) campaign.
The campaign’s dates this year are November 25–December 10.
This involvement is a component of SP Brewery’s corporate social responsibility programs, which aim to address societal challenges in the nation.
The brewery and the National Gender-Based Violence Secretariat (NGVBS) of the Department of Community Development & Religion (DFCDR) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in October to work together and combat gender-based violence in Papua New Guinea.
To demonstrate support in the fight against gender-based violence, SP Brewery raised a symbolic flag with the SP Brewery Corporate insignia on a purple field as a significant step forward under this Memorandum of Understanding.
As part of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, the flag was raised at the SP Brewery offices in Port Moresby, Lae, and Goroka.
