Natoinal Capital District City Manager Ravu Frank is determined now than ever to ensure that the capital city of the country rids itself from violence and petty crimes. In line with the 4 key outcomes handed down by the governor and the board to address.
Mr. Ravu said these outcomes cannot be achieved without the support of key stakeholders such as the NCD Police Command and most importantly the city residents.
“We wish to stress this point that we will work together with the men and women of the NCD Police Unit to bring about good changes in our city.”
He further stated that he has every trust and confidence in the police to help achieve their desire for a safe city and is certain that together everyone will be able to that. He mentioned that their collaborative efforts to bring the change that is much needed has already started.
“This month we embarked on an operation to rid the city of illegal vending and illegal activities including petty crimes and we did it in partnership with our Metropolitan Superintendent and his police.”
He said they encountered push backs, as was expected but they are not deterred and will continue to work towards these key outcomes.
Ravu said he is sure that with the help and the authority of the police force, they go an extra step in achieving what they set out to do.
Ravu mentioned that on their part as the municipal authority of the capital city, they will provide adequate support to ensure effectiveness of law enforcement in the city.
This also saw the city manager hand over tents, Megaphones and other equipment as a donation to the Police.
