The Morobe students are continuing their education and law order awareness program today in the Nawaeb district of Morobe Province.
In a successful visit to the communities in the Markham district yesterday, students talked to the youths and elderly people on basic human rights, the different arms of government and they also encouraging the people to get into acquiring necessary skills through education.
“We also had a talk with the landowners, educating them on the government constitution and certain land rights that they needed to know”.
“At the same we were able to give brief information on the voting system of Papua New Guinea.”
Team leader and spokesman Mr. Luther Kising, said their theme for the awareness is “Kirapim Morobe,” which they aim to get every children and youths to school next year through the free education policy in Morobe province.
“We are basing on the national goals and directive principles and that is promoting human development in the province.”
Mr. Kising stated that they are hoping to complete the visits to all the villages of Nawaeb District today, so that students can have time to celebrate the new year during the weekend.
