Golden Rise Investment logging company with Raikos Holdings Limited a local landowners incorporated land group in the Marakum ward two area in Astrolabe Bay LLG of Rai Coast District opened a newly built library and science laboratory for the Jamad Primary School.
The two new buildings are the initiatives of Golden Investment & Raikos Holdings Limited as part of Levi fees to upgrade Jamad Primary School to a Junior High School in the district.
Member for Rai Coast District, Kessy Sawang was also invited to witness the opening ceremony of the two new buildings.
This was MP Sawang’s first official visit as a new member for Rai Coast District.
Managing Director for Golden Rise investment, Daniel Neo in his speech told the Marakum people and nearby villages to look after the infrastructures built as it is part of development into their area.
Neo said while being in the area for some years now he sees that consumption of alcohol and marijuana is very high thus leads to more law and order issues in Marakum area.
“Parents it is your responsibility to teach your children the moral ways of life and you as parents to change your mindset for the better of your children’s future,” Neo said.
He stressed that if they don’t change their mentality then it will be difficult for leaders and foreign investors to deliver services into their area.
Meanwhile, Member for Rai Coast, Kessy Sawang shared the same sentiment that locals must look after the services delivered to their door step.
She added that It is a privilege for Jamad Primary to have such buildings that will assist In the growth in education of the children and appealed to the school board of management and the parents to look after this new services delivered to them.
