Remington Group today announced the names of the five candidates who were selected out of over 700 applicants nationwide for their 2022 Apprenticeship Program.
At the same time, two employees were acknowledged for successfully completing the Graduate Development Program with the Group, and were presented with Certificates of Achievement.
The 2022 Remington Group Apprenticeship Program saw five individuals selected based on their academic merits, including other factors, such as character and discipline.
The induction and onboarding ceremony occurred this morning, formally welcoming the five individuals to the Group.
The apprentices will be placed in the Group’s respective Business Units; Remington Technology, BizPrint & Scan and FX Business Centre to undergo four years of training, coaching and mentoring with a team of professionals.
The Remington Group Apprenticeship Program is a 4- year program aimed at providing TVET graduates with technical disciplines and a career pathway.
The Remington Group is facilitating this program in collaboration with the National Apprenticeship Trade and Testing Board.
The Program was initiated in 2019 and took in its first batch of apprentices in July 2020, its second batch in March 2021, and today the 3rd batch of individuals were selected to go through this Program.
The five selected are:
• Pombra Kunjip (Junior Service Technician) placed with FX Business Centre.
• Frankie Moi & Yvonne Mavirit (Junior Service Technicians) placed with Remington Technology.
• Dama Kuman & Emmanuel Kirimota (Printing Machinists) placed with BizPrint & Scan.

Billy Minata and Josephine Beni were each presented with Certificates of Completion for completing the Remington Group Graduate Development Program (GDP).
The two graduates are pioneers of the Remington GDP initiative. Josephine Beni is the Inventory & Supply Assistant in our Logistics Department and Billy Minata is one of two Internal Auditors in our Finance Department.

The Remington Group GDP is a four-year program that provides hands-on training and learning through exposure to different areas of the business. It allows a graduate to be matched with a mentor – who is an industry expert based on his or her skills and interests.
