In what is being described as a very ambitious yet exciting goal, the New Ireland Provincial Executive Council has approved for the establishment of a Youth Marching Band. Promoting Music and discipline.
The band will be trained by former members of Papua New Guinea’s Royal Police Constabulary band and a technical team who have backgrounds in teaching music and Marching drills.
Consultations are already underway to help organise the formation and setting up of the Marching band.
Interested youths who are disciplined, of clean and sober habits can contact, New Ireland Government Public Relations to apply for positions in the 16 member Marching Band.
The OLSH Governors school of excellence is also very excited about the prospect and looks forward to assisting. Because they have music lessons already.
