The NCD Governor’s Cup Judiciary has ruled that the incomplete Final Cup Playoffs match between the 8 Mile Settlers and Kone Storms will resume following a contentious ending.
The game, which was halted with 20 minutes remaining, will continue to ensure a fair outcome.
During the initial match, the 8Mile Settlers led 8-0 in the second half when the Kone Storms raised concerns about the referee’s decisions, claiming bias and unfair calls on offences and penalties.
Frustration over the officiating prompted the Storms to request a replacement referee, which led to the abrupt suspension of the game after 60 minutes of play.
Following an official complaint and appeal lodged by the Kone Storms, the Judiciary Committee reviewed the situation and concluded that the match should be completed today.
The committee remains committed to ensuring fairness and sportsmanship in the competition and has allowed for the teams to continue their match.
The rematch promises an intense showdown as both teams vie to settle the score.
With only 20 minutes left on the clock and the 8mile Settlers leading with 8-0, the continuation will test the resolve and determination of both sides.
Meanwhile, the Judiciary’s decision is still pending for two more games including the D8 Mosquitoes and Mountain Bulls.
