Two suspects of a break and enter case in Bereina in the Central province are in police custody and will be charged soon.
Central Provincial Police Commander, Senior Inspector Joseph Salle said the suspects allegedly broke into, illegally entered and stole
properties at the transfiguration in Bereina District in the Central province on Monday this week.
“Police alleged that on Monday May 24, 2024 a female complainant reported that the
suspects broke her room through the window and stole several items including two
smart phones, a hand watch, and a pair of wireless earbuds at the community of
Transfiguration in Bereina District in the Central province.”
PPC Salle said police personnel responded to the complaint registered and conducted a dawn raid on the premises of the suspects and apprehended them and transported to the Sogeri Police Holding Cells and detailed them.
PPC Salle further revealed that the stolen properties have been recovered by the Bereina Police Officers and returned to the owner.
The suspects are now detained at the 15 Mile Police Cells in the Central Province police station.
PPC Salle said the suspects would be processed and formal charges would be laid
against them when all the necessary information are made available.
