Yesterday was a significant day for the Department of Information and Communications Technology as the Interns received certificates upon completing their intensive program with us since joining the Department in November of last year (2022).
The 14 interns are University level graduating students who have completed their undergraduate studies from the four major Universities within the country – University of Papua New Guinea, University of Technology, University of Goroka and Divine Word University.
Some of the interns flew into Port Moresby from other parts of the country for the program.
At the farewell luncheon today, Acting Secretary Mr. Flierl Shongol and other senior management Staff gave encouraging remarks and appreciation to the interns for their contribution during their period of engagement, and handed them certificates marking the end of their program.
Each intern had turn to share with the management and staff of DICT of their experiences of what they’ve gain from the program and how they intend to leverage that moving forward in their career.
The presentation was witnessed by all staff.
